How does Vaniqa work?

Vaniqa contains the active ingredient Eflornithine, which holds the enzyme known as ornithine decarboxylase. This enzyme causes the hair follicles to get blocked so that the hair stops growing on the spots where you applied the Vaniqa cream. Once the growth of the hair follicle has been blocked, the hair will of course disappear from the spot you applied the cream on. Vaniqa and its ingredient Eflornithine have been approved by the FDA for the treatment of facial hirsutism. Both brand Vaniqa and generic Vaniqa usually contain about 13,9% of the ingredient Eflornithine.

How should Vaniqa be applied?

Vaniqa is a cream and should be applied with the fingertips on the spots you want your facial hair to disappear. It is recommended to apply the cream once a day, only apply the necessary amount of cream to the spots where you have unwanted facial hair.

Possible side effects of Vaniqa

Just like any other health and beauty product, Vaniqa cream may cause side effects with a small amount of people using the product. Usually these side effects only occur when you’ve just started using Vaniqa, if they keep occurring it is best to see a doctor or dermatologist to figure out the problem.
